Interest & Motivation

Curiosity that led me to Electrical Engineering.

My interest in electrical engineering began with a simple curiosity about how the electrical and electronic devices around me actually work.

01

Curiosity from an early age

As a child, I was fascinated by the way electrical appliances in our home worked. Whenever an appliance stopped functioning, I was often more curious than concerned. Before taking it to a technician, I would open it, examine its components, and try to understand how I could make it work again—even though I had no formal knowledge of the engineering principles involved.

I also enjoyed purchasing discarded electronic gadgets from local scrap dealers and attempting to restore them. These early experiments taught me to observe carefully, troubleshoot patiently, and learn through hands-on exploration.

02

Learning from experience

My uncle, who is an electrician in my village, further strengthened this curiosity. Whenever I visited my hometown, I would ask him questions about electrical equipment and how different devices worked. His practical experience gave me an early glimpse into the real-world side of electrical engineering and encouraged me to keep asking questions.

03

Inspired to become an engineer

My motivation to pursue engineering was also deeply influenced by my father, who is a mechanical engineer and has always been my role model. His dedication to engineering inspired me to pursue a technical career of my own.

After qualifying for JEE Advanced, I chose Electrical Engineering because it aligned naturally with the curiosity and interest I had developed since childhood.

What began as a childhood curiosity about broken appliances gradually became a passion for understanding, analysing, and developing electrical systems.

Personal Insights

My Strengths & Areas for Growth.

I believe self-awareness is an important part of professional growth. Understanding my strengths helps me contribute more effectively, while recognizing areas for improvement keeps me focused on becoming a more balanced and capable professional.

01 · KEY STRENGTH

Empathy & People Connection

I have a deep sense of empathy that enables me to understand the perspectives, emotions, and needs of others. This helps me connect with people on a personal level, build genuine relationships, and establish trust and rapport.

Whether collaborating with teams, managing professional relationships, or working through complex challenges, I believe this ability to understand people helps me encourage collaboration, communicate thoughtfully, and work toward shared goals.

02 · KEY STRENGTH

Written Communication

Strong written communication is another important strength I bring to academic and professional environments. I am able to organize ideas clearly and communicate information effectively and persuasively across different formats and audiences.

This skill supports me in preparing technical and professional documents, reports, proposals, and other forms of written communication where clarity, structure, and impact are essential.

03 · AREA FOR GROWTH

Managing the Tendency to Overwork

One area I am consciously working to improve is my tendency to overwork. At times, I become deeply immersed in my responsibilities and continue working for long periods, which can make it difficult to maintain a healthy balance between professional commitments and personal well-being.

I recognize that sustainable performance requires more than dedication alone. I am therefore focusing on better time management, prioritization, setting appropriate boundaries, and maintaining a healthier work-life balance so that I can remain productive without compromising long-term well-being.

FITNESS & WELL-BEING

Gym & Regular Workouts

One of my key extracurricular activities is dedicating time to regular workout sessions at the gym. Maintaining an active lifestyle through consistent exercise is important not only for physical fitness, but also for mental well-being, discipline, and personal development.

For me, fitness is a way to build consistency and stay focused. It helps me maintain energy, manage demanding schedules, and approach academic and professional challenges with a more positive and resilient mindset.

SPORTS & TEAMWORK

Playing Football

I enjoy playing football, particularly on weekends, as it gives me an opportunity to stay active, relax, and recharge after a busy week. Beyond being a sport I enjoy, football has helped me appreciate the importance of teamwork, communication, strategy, and quick decision-making.

Playing with others also provides a valuable opportunity to build friendships and maintain a healthy balance between professional commitments and personal life. It keeps me connected, refreshed, and motivated.

Transient Stability of Power Systems Without Compromising Grid Integrity

My first research paper was published at ISGT Asia in Singapore, marking one of the most significant achievements of my academic and research journey.

The proposed technique addresses the challenge of transient stability in power systems while preserving grid integrity. The approach is intended to improve system resilience following severe disturbances and reduce the risk of cascading failures and widespread blackouts.

The research was motivated in part by the impact of large-scale power-system disturbances, including the 2012 India power-grid blackout. By enhancing transient stability without compromising the integrity of the grid, this work aims to contribute to more reliable and resilient power systems for the future.

Completing this research required sustained effort, determination and a strong commitment to addressing a real-world societal challenge. Its publication at an international conference such as ISGT Asia remains a particularly meaningful milestone in my research career.
